Michael's Mediterranean can be found in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping Campden, just a moment away from the historic Wool Market building.
Chef & Restaurateur Michael Alexiou bought Woolmarket House in 1986 and transformed it into the charming and unique restaurant it is today. The building dates from circa 1720 and features two magnificent inglenook fireplaces.
Dine in relaxed surroundings with the warm ambience of open fires in the winter, or on our pretty terrace in the summer. We offer traditional Greek cuisine, complemented by modern, Mediterranean dishes. From an array of Mezze dishes, fresh fish, seafood and seasonal daily specials, to our renowned “Marathona” fillet steaks; all our ingredients are locally-sourced where possible.

Our restaurant can accommodate 28 guests for private parties and we have devised a series of celebratory menus to choose from, or why not let us create a bespoke menu, tailored to your tastes?
To ensure your guests have a truly unique night, you can even have exclusive hire of the restaurant and stay overnight at our luxury bed and breakfast housed within the same building, Woolmarket House.
Housed in the same 18th-century building as Michael's, Woolmarket House B&B offers the perfect country getaway. We have 6 beautiful rooms, all loosely inspired by local gardens
